2012 Beachwood Ladder Rules/Information

PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE CHANGES from last year, and the LADDER WILL NOW BE POSTED ON THE WEBSITE WITH CHANGES MADE DAILY!!!!

  1. Original ladder positioning was determined by the coach. Last years positioning, moving up from one age group to another, and ability were all taken into consideration. Ultimately the players were put in what the coach feels is the best order of ability.

  2. You may challenge up to two spots above yourself on the ladder.

  3. You must accept 1 challenge per week. The challenger must notify of the coach before the challenge match is played, with a date of time of the match. The match must be completed by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday before the match for it to count otherwise it will count for the next week.

  4. You must wait one week from the day you played a challenge match to challenge/play the same person.

  5. You may only play a person two times over the summer unless granted permission by the coach.

  6. All results must be sent to the coach after the match.

  7. If you are going out of town please let the coach know in advance. If you will be missing 3 weeks or more, you MAY be required to play more than 1 challenge match in a week, and final determination of the ladder is up to the coach.

  8. The top 4 players in each age group will play in the A matches each week. If one of the top 4 is missing then the next avaialble player based upon the ladder will play. The 5-8 players will play in the B match each week.

  9. You must play in 2 A or B matches to be eligible to play in A or B finals. If you know that you will not be able to do this please let the coach know.

  10. The last day for challenge matches for A Finals will be Monday July 13th and the matches must be completed by 8:00 p.m., at that point the ladder will be frozen.

  11. After July 13th the coach may initiate a coaches challenge if he feels that it is best for the determination of the ladder. The matches must be played otherwise the players will be moved accordingly.
  12. Also we will have two Challenge Saturdays throughout the season Saturday June 27th and Saturday July 10th. Your son/daughter may be asked to play challenge matches in order to determine the best order of ability.
